"STERMENSKY"- John A.Stermensky, 65, 15 May St., died Tuesday evening zt Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Czechoslovakia and was married to the former Anna Steflik. He was a retired employee of Dunn-McCarthy. He was a member of SS. Cyril & Method Church, it's Men Rotary, Rosary society and the Fishermen's Club. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lyndon (Lillian)Jones, Rome and Mrs. John (Valeria) Matias, Binghamton; two sons, John and Joseph Stermensky, both of Johnson City ; 13 grandchildren' two sisters, Miss Elizabeth Stermensky and Miss Anna Stermensky, both of Binghamton. also several neices and nephews. Funeral services will be held held at 8:30 am from the Greskovic-Sedlock Funeral Home, 161 Clinton and at 9 am at the SS Cyril & Method Church. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call in at the funeral home today from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The family has requested that donations in Mr. Stermensky's memory can be made to the Broome County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.

Barbara Rosalia was named probably for her elder sister who died young and probably also her godmother, Barbara Bargyovzsky.

She died at the age of 33 years in the family home ( probably house No. 49 ) from the cholera epidemic which killed nearly 200 people in a two years time frame in Gajar.

She was buried from : Kostol Zvestovania Panny Márie (Church of the Annunciation) in Gajary.

"MARTHA L. EARLY. Martha L. Early, 62, of North Forge Road, Palmyra, died of natural causes Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at the Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Harold H. Early. Born Sept. 17, 1938, in Bled Feldes, Yugoslavia, she was a daughter if the late Viktor and Wilma Stermansky Lileck. She was employed by Hershey Food Corp. and was a member of Chocolate Worker's Union Local 464. She enjoyed her grandchildren, reading and sewing.Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons Joseph H. Early, Kenneth H. Early and Robert I. Early, all of Palmyra; a brother, Victor Lilek of Pottsville; sisters Hermine Reid of Mechanicsburg, Josephine Wagner of Lancaster and Mery Felty of Brandon, FLA; and six grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at the Buse Memorial Park, North Annville Township. "

Andrew Stermensky, aged 69 years, died Thursday night at his hosme 220 Robble Avenue, Endicott. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Stermensky, two daughters, Mrs. JOhn Kumpan of Binghamton and Miss Anna Stermensky of Endicott; two sons, John of Binghamton and Andrew, Jr., of Endicott; three brothers, John and Joseph Stermensky of CZechoslovakia and Steven Stermensky of Binghamton. Two step-brothers, Peter and Martin Stermensky of Czechoslovakia; a stepsister, Mrs. John Hagdin of Czechoslovakia, and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Lyndon Jones, Butternut Rd., RD 4, has returned from Binghamton, where her father, John Stermensky, 65, of Binghamton, has died.
Mr. Stermensky was a native of Czechoslovakia. He came to the United States and Binghamton 45 years ago. Besides Mrs. JOnes, he is survived by two sons and a daughter, all of Binghamton.
Mrs. Jones had been in Binghamton three weeks.

"Mrs. Mary Stermensky" of 158 Clinton Street, died at 3:15 pm, Sunday at the Wilson Memorial Hospital Annex. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Kumpan, of Binghamton, and Miss Ann Stermensky, of New York City. Two sons, John and Andrew Stermensky, both of Binghamton; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. a brother, Martin Blazek, of Vienna, Austria; a nephew. she was a member of the SS Cyril & Method Church and it's Rosary society. The body was removed to Greskovic Funeral Home, 161 Clinton Street, where friends may call this evening and Tuesday afternoon and evening.
