    Notes
    • Death records says he is "Spannus Sylvannus Szadvar " so that would make him the Overseer of the Forests of Szadvar ?

BIRTHPLACE : In death record, what looks like "Szadvar", it was suggested that it may refer to Szadudvarnok, also called Szad and Szadello, a village in old Abauj-Torna megye. It is now called Zadiel SK.

Also a P.D. is front of one record which translate to perillustris dominus = esteemed man

and also DOMINIUS or D. before his name translate to : dominalis = seigniorial [adjective for seignior = a man of rank (like the estate owner), especially feudal lord]

CONFLICTS!: Translation from three records of George :" spanus / spanus dominalis = the overseer of manorial farm of the village OR FOREST ( Sylvannus ) "

NOTE: These families were small landholders, served mostly as military officers (with the privilege of no taxation, such nobles were required to serve at their own cost) and active in the county administration (which, until 1848 has been the privilege of the nobility).

OCCUPATION : In old chart of Stermenzsky family sent by a descendant ( Slobhan Stermenski - and then again, a copy from Tibor Nemeth ) , GEORGE IV is listed on this family chart ( drawn in 1802 ), translated from latin, it says " GEORGE IV Jablunka in County Torna by the house of of the Principality Ezsterhazy, an Official of the Forests ".

ORIGINS: Most likely Szekuly area in Poszony as two distant relatives in Europe sent "Stermenszky Family genealogies " citing that George was son of Joanne Stermenszky of Szekuly and the brother of Pal Stermenszky

NOTE: Most of these families had a Patent of Nobility (which afforded tax- free status along with other privileges of the nobility while with obligatory military service), however, not all owned land at the various times of the registries' recording. It is during this period from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century that the legal, economic, social, cultural, and documentary consolidation of the large Hungarian middle nobility occurred. There is a patent of nobilty for Andreas Stemensky from 1652 registererd in Pozsony County.

NOTE: Possible George Stermenszky candidates - He may have been born in Kuklov ( baptismal records are not avaiblae for Kuklov record in 1740-1760 time period )

POSSIBLE : Born in 1729 son of Joannes and Elizabeth https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:V1JG-FM2 Updated - : This child died as an infant.
